Miss Megan / Dance Instructor

Megan grew up in Portland, OR, where she first found her love of movement in a gymnastics class.

She competed across the metro area until she was 11, then turned her passion of sport and art to dance. She began training in Classical Ballet, quickly moving  into Pointe shoes and learning other styles, including Hip-Hop, Jazz, and Contemporary. She has trained at MVP Dance Elite in Beaverton, OR, and taught for two years at Sherwood Dance Academy, teaching children, teens and adults.

When her school and dance schedule permitted it, she also participated in musical theater productions, which included playing Little Cosette in Broadway Rose Theater’s Les Miserables, and acting in a short film for the Art Institute of Portland. In addition to the performing arts, she loves teaching.

She has worked with the City of Orange as a supervisor for kids’ summer camps, and provided academic support to freshman college students. She holds a BA in Screenwriting from Chapman University, and choreographed for the school’s on-campus Hip-Hop club, Floor 13.

She loves choreographing, working with children, and dance improv. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, writing, and playing the piano.
