Princess Ballet
Your little ballerina will enter a world of magic and imagination by dancing to their favorite tunes from fairy tales new and old. This class teaches the basics of ballet and dance through terminology and imagery. Dancers will create their own princess props to take home, hear stories, and dress up in princess tutus. Tutus and props provided. Ballet shoes required.
Tots & Tutus
Imaginations soar with props, songs, rhythm, movement and play. Through ballet & jazz basics, children develop gross motor skills and creativity. Ballet shoes required.
Butterfly Ballerinas
Transform into a magical butterfly and float across the floor with beginning ballet movements and an introduction to ballet terminology. Instruction includes practice at the barre, traveling across the floor, choreography, and creative movement activities with props. Ballet shoes required.
Beginning Classical Ballet
Leotard, Tights, Ballet Shoes required.
Beginning dancers focus on terminology, positions, and movements with an emphasis on self-discipline, alignment and poise through barre and center/across the floor work in this structured class. Wear leotard, tights, and ballet shoes. Suitable for those continuing from tot ballet class, have had little dance experience, or are new to ballet but wanting to explore the disciplined art form.
Beginning Classical Ballet II
Leotard, tights, and ballet shoes required.
Learn a wider range of terminology, position, and movements while continuing to focus on fundamentals taught in previous ballet classes to further solidify a foundation for the next level. Prerequisite: two sessions of Classical or Beginning Ballet I. Proper ballet attire required: leotard, tights, hair in a bun, and ballet shoes.
Intermediate Ballet: Choreography
Leotard, Tights, Ballet Shoes and Ballet Bun required*
Expand ballet knowledge with formal terminology, proper ballet technique, discipline, strength, and flexibility exercises. Ballet work will be done at the barre and center floor. Students will focus on learning classical and contemporary ballet variations (choreography), as well as tips to help retain choreography for performances.
