Miss Caitlin has been singing and performing since she can remember. She performed at a young age but her professional performances started when she was in a girls band where she played guitar and sang at performances all around her hometown from middle school up until she moved for college.
Her theater experience started in High School but her passion and desire to do theater grew like wildfire. She went to a performing arts camp called Perry-Mansfield with 11 other talented students, including current Juilliard students. She moved to Orange County from Colorado to pursue her theater aspirations. She graduated from University of California-Irvine in 3 years and left with a drama major and film and media studies minor.
Since graduating Caitlin has performed in several shows and turned to teaching to spread her knowledge and passion to students. She has been with the OC Dance company for over 2 years now and is the main Musical Theater instructor for the company. Her main focus is on the acting and singing of musical theater and then incorporating the dance to enhance the musical.
Caitlin is also a Teaching Artist for Segerstrom Center of the Performing Arts – Disney Musicals in Schools Program along with only 7 other brilliantly talented professionals in the theater business. Here she is a music director and helps instruct elementary school staff on how to direct and create a musical in their school.
Fun Facts:
She has directed 4 school productions so far all over Orange County, including Aladdin and The Jungle Book.
Some of her favorite productions she’s performed in include: Sandy in Grease and Sarah Brown in Guys and Dolls
