Miss Marissa has been tapping since she was 4 years old, 18 years. Tap is by far her biggest passion! Missa Marissa has also trained in ballet, acro, jazz, lyrical, and hip-hop, and has taught various styles of dance for 6 years. She competed nationally and internationally from 2010-2016 and has earned top awards and titles across regional and national dance competitions; most notably getting a 298.3/300 score with her tap duet partner for the routine “We Will Rock You”. This routine awarded her the 2016 title of senior division duet/trio champions, as well as the highest-scoring routine of the entire nationals competition. Some of her greatest accomplishments include earning a scholarship for her tap abilities from the Encore Performing Arts Showcase Inc. in 2013, performing a tap routine in 2014 on a cruise ship that sailed for the Royal Caribbean Group out to Mexico, and performing in parades at Knotts Berry Farm and Disneyland numerous times. Her senior year of dance she was cast as the senior role, “Queen of Hearts” in her home-studios ballet production. 
Miss Marissa auditioned for and was accepted into CSUF’s Dance Major program and studied dance for a year. During this year, she and a tap partner were chosen as special guest performers at the University President’s Annual Reception for Women’s History Month at CSUF. During her time in college, she taught dance, as well as took master classes to build her skills. She recently graduated from CSUF with a degree in psychology.

Available for Private and Small Group Lessons in the Following Genres – Ballet, Hip Hop (ages 10 & under), Jazz, and Tap (beginning/intermediate) or Tap (advanced – ages 9+)

Small-Group Information:

  • You must register for at least 4 weeks of lessons. Small-Group lessons meet once a week for 45 minutes. You choose your dates and times during registration! You can purchase additional weeks if you’d like to continue after your first set of lessons conclude.
  • When booking a small group the registering parent is responsible for paying for the group in full at the time of registration. It is the responsibility of the registering parent to collect payment (either reimbursement or before registering) from the parents of additional children in the group.
  • If more children are present than included in your purchase selection the registering parent will be responsible for paying for the additional children before the lesson starts, plus a $10 fee.
